Funny things Lynzi has said this week.
1. After opening a gift with a Princess Nightlight inside she said, "Oh no, we don't have any more hookers upstairs!" (I think she meant outlets!)
2. "Santa isn't going to know to bring Gizmo presents."
3. Looking at a gift we asked her, "Does it say 'To Lynzi' on the gift?" She said, "No, it just has ONE Lynzi."
4. Conversation with Mommy
Lynzi: "Mommy, what do you want for Christmas?"
Mommy: "Jewelry."
Lynzi: "But you already have jewelry."
Mommy: "I want more"
Lynzi: "What else do you want for Christmas?"
Mommy: "Scrapbook stuff."
Lynzi: "But you already have scrapbook stuff."
Mommy: "But I want more!"
Mommy: "I know, I want Carrie Underwood's New CD."
Lynzi: "Nope, Daddy asked me if I wanted it!"
5. At work today my friend's daughter brought her boyfriend in and we got to meet him. Lynzi was playing with her Barbie Dolls shoes. He said, "You need to get shoes on your Barbie's feet or they will get cold. Do you think they will fit me?" Lynzi said, "We can magic them on you. Where is my wand?"

Traditions!

Here are some traditions in the Siglin home around the holidays....
1. We always wake up at our home on Christmas Day. I always remember waking up no where else but home on Christmas Day. (Adopted from the Kroft side of the family.)
2. We have breakfast first and open our stockings at the kitchen table. Gene has his annual piece of grapefruit. (Adopted from the Siglin side of the family.)
3. Lynzi always gets a new baby doll for Christmas. (Kroft family.)
4. We buy a new ornament for our Christmas Tree every year. It usually has something to do with what has happened throughout the year. For example...First Christmas Together, Wedding, New Home, Parents to Be, Baby's first Christmas, Disney Family Vacation. (First Generation Tradition.)
5. Lynzi and daddy puts the angel up on top of the tree. (First Generation Tradition.)
Snow pics!
Ok, so it took a while to post the snow pictures. The truth is, by the time we were all done I stinkin' erased all the pictures and made Lynzi pose for some more. By then I was done with the camera and put it away and out of sight! And before that all happened...we built a snowman and I went inside to get the camera and came back outside and this is what was left! Lynzi wasn't even near it. So it fell by itself.

Christmas Survey time!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Mostly gift bags, but I usually wrapped Lynzi's in wrapping paper. I think that is part of the joy for kids...the one time they can be destructive!
2. Real tree or artificial? I have always had an artificial one. You get your money's worth!
3. When do you put up the tree? No particular time. Just when I get the urge and I have a whole day to cleean, rearrange furniture and put it up.
4. When do you take the tree down? See answer for #3.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yep! SURE DO!
6. What about Fruitcake? No, he doesn't like Egg Nog.
7. Favorite gift received as a child? I always got a doll every Christmas. It was a tradition. I am not passing that tradition down to Lynzi. I think my fav doll was when I got twin Cabbage Patch kids! As a big kid in college...my favorite was a computer from my Sister and BIL.
8. Do you have a nativity scene? No, because if I had one my sister would steal it. She collects them! Nothing like getting your baby Jesus stolen! So I don't put the tempation there for her! Seriously...we do have a little Advent Calendar thing that my MIL got us a couple years ago...and it has a nativity on it.
9. Hardest person to buy for? The male species!
10. Easiest person to buy for? Lynzi, of course. The hard part is stopping!!!
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Anything from my grandmother. Don't get my sister started on her "Stinkin Socks" story!
12. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail them...homemade ones.
13. Favorite Christmas Movie? Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer
14. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Anytime after July. Lynzi's bday is in July and then anything I see after that...I save for Christmas. That is how I justify the purchase! LOL
15. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? I don't know if I have...but I would!
16. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Ham. Peanut Butter Fudge
17. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Colored.
18. Favorite Christmas song? This is sad! O Holy Night
19. Travel for Christmas or stay at home? HOME! Another Christmas tradition. I never woke up anywhere else on Christmas Day so therefore I do not want Lynzi to wake up anywhere else. How will Santa find her??
20. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes.
21. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel
22. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas Day. This year we will open gifts Christmas Eve morn at my parent's house.
23. What is the one present you want most this year? I already got it...a laptop!
24. Most annoying thing about this time of year? SNOW!

Saturday Sunshine
Well Gene is working today at his new job ....IN TOWN! No more paying out $480 a month on gasoline for him to drive back and forth to Kokomo! So today Lynzi and I have a day full of fun. We went to the library to do a "make and take" ornament. It is very cute! Notice how she has all the colors bundled together! Neat Freak!
Then we went to Walmart to pick up some pictures I sent there to print. While we were there picking photos of Lynzi with Santa at the Muncie Mall we discovered that Santa made his way to our Walmart. So we went there to have Lynzi sit on his lap and tell him again...that she wants a princess ball and a yo-yo!

We didn't wait around for an hour to pick up the free picture. We will get it later. But here is the picture that was made at the Muncie Mall. We went to the Muncie mall thinking we had missed Santa at Walmart.

Now we are at home fixing some macaroni and cheese for lunch...at Lynzi's request...and then heading outside to play in the snow. More pictures from those adventures later!

Saturday, December 1st!
Happy December!!!
Today Lynzi had a Chritmas performance. She did a great job. It just amazes me how much she has improved in just 3 months. She did a little dance to a song called "Mrs. Santa Claus" It was fun watching all the dancers...but here are some pictures of my favorite dancer.
Here she started out the song as a reindeer.

So today we put up our Christmas Tree. We have not put the decorations on it, however, because we want to see how the cat reacts with the tree. So...here is some pictures of his very cat-like reaction!!!

Here are the events of this week. Lynzi and I went to grandma and grandpa's house on Wednesday after Lynzi got out of school. We went to help her cook Thanksgiving dinner. Even Lynzi helped by tearing up the bread for the dressing.
Later that night Grandma had a hair appointment. Lynzi got her bangs cut and Melissa was so nice to put some curls in her hair while waiting on Grandma's perm to set.
After eating Thanksgiving Dinner we went to visit Gene's Aunt and Uncle while we were in Marion and then back to grandma's to take a nap! Lynzi was up until 1am waiting on Aunt Tina to get in. And then the rest of us girls went to bed about 3am! Then on Friday I went shopping with my friend Julie and 2 of her sisters. I went to bed about 10:30pm and got up at 12:30am and left to go shopping at 1: 30am. Lynzi stayed at grandma's playing with grandma and Aunt Tina. They took her to a movie and saw the new Disney princess on Enchanted. Lynzi got a little scared during the movie and wanted mommy! Aunt Tina took this picture of Lynzi and Strawberry Shortcake and sent it to me while I was shopping.
On Saturday we decorated Grandma's for Christmas. Here is Lynzi putting the angel on top of ONE of grandma's trees.

Here are the stockings at Grandmas house. One for Grandpa, one for Grandma and one for Lynzi. Hm...where is mine????
So we had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. I can't wait until Christmas. The snow...however...can keep its distance!
