Catching up!

I have not blogged in ....what?? 18 days???

Well things have not been hectic...can't blame it on that. I have just been....tired! I hardly get on the computer at night anymore. I usually go to bed ...at a decent hour.

Wednesday December 17th Lynzi got a phone call from Santa! She was so excited. (I will try to post that video later. I am at work and don't have my SD card with me.) She talked about it for days!!!

Christmas eve we went to our church for a nice Candlelight service. We had more people there for that than we ever have!! It was great. After that Gene, Lynzi and I went driving around to look at lights. It was a good way to spend our evening. Especially since the weather has been nice! Then we went home and put out cookies and milk for Santa and headed to bed. This year...I did not wait until Christmas Eve to wrap gifts, so it was a relaxing Christmas Eve.

Christmas was nice...and simple. We didn't send out Christmas Cards, we didn't fret about what we were getting who. We bought for very few this year. Gene and I exchanged 1 gift...which were pajamas. The rest was for Lynzi under the tree. And she didn't get as much this year...but she did get everything she wanted. Praise God everything she wanted was cheap! HA! We didn't exchange with my family either. Grandpa, Grandma and Aunt Tina just bought Lynzi gifts. We didn't fret over who wanted what...and what in the heck are we getting dad this year! I didn't even exchange with close friends this year. There isn't anything we NEEDED. It was a nice, calm, relaxing Christmas.

On Christmas Eve day...we went to Julie house. Lynzi had some gifts there. She got some cute clothes...as usual, some boots, games and a Ponyville. Later that night Lynzi said she had to find out Santa's phone number to tell him she doesn't' need Ponyville now!! HA!

Other gifts she asked Santa for....
  • Barbie with Dog
  • Barbie Car (for her Barbie's, not her)
  • Bubble Gum Machine

She got that and much more. With her Christmas money she got a V-Smile Cyber Pocket game system. She has never really played video games...so this is a new thing for her.

For New Year's we are planning on going to Fort Wayne to stay with our friends Andy, Krista and Seth. (As long as Krista and I are feeling up to it! She is due 4 days after me! Neat, huh?) Poor guys, they don't know what they are getting into having us both in the same house over night! HA!

I will have to post pictures later. I just had a burst of energy to type...not post pics! HA!

Later!

Here it is! ENJOY! Watch its feet kick...too cute!

You will see it pause a couple times. That is the pics being taken. Then you will see a green dotted line being drawn. The technician is measuring how big the baby is to determine my dute date. He/she measured at 10 1/2 weeks. Then soon after the frame has paused twice you can see him/her wigggling around.

Christmas in the Ocean

Saturday was Lynzi's Christmas program for ballet. The song she danced to was from a Disney Princess CD. The song was called Christmas in the Ocean...sang by Ariel. Here is a couple pictures.

Here is Lynzi getting ready to carry the Christian Flag for the opening ceremonies for Awana on Sunday. She was so excited! She recited 5 Bible verses from memory! She got another jewel for her wings.

Today was our first ultrasound of baby number 2! I was able to hear the heart beat and I measured at 10 1/2 weeks so the new projected due date is July 4th! (Krista...we may be due the same time!) However, I will be scheduled for a c-section 10 days prior, putting the birth date June 24th. Here is a picture!

I am trying to upload the video of the ultrasound. Not sure if it will work, but if it does...YAY! On the video you can see him/her moving his/her feet! :)

Just a quick update! Good day to all!

Feeling Better?

Wow! I haven't blogged in a while. Quite frankly, I haven't done much in a while! I have felt horrible. The thought of Christmas shopping, scrapbooking, blogging...just makes me ill! I just want to sleep! I had a good day yesterday, though. I did a load of laundry before taking Lynzi to school, made (and burnt) some ornaments with Lynzi after school, make 8 Christmas Cards, and cooked dinner...without a nap!!! Today, however, back to feeling nauseated!

The day before Thanksgiving I volunteered at Lynzi's school to do Thanksgiving Centers. Each parent was in charge of a learning center for the morning. All the kids rotated to each center. It was a lot of fun. Soon after centers were over we had lunch. Lynzi's best friend Laila sat with us. Here is a cute picture of them!

Wednesday night this week was Lynzi's school Christmas program at Bundy Auditorium. This is where she has her ballet recitals. So she felt like a pro! It was so funny when I took Lynzi backstage to meet her teacher and her class. Her teacher said to me, "Oh my goodness! You have to see this!" She pulls Laila out of line and points out that Lynzi and Laila have the same dress on! Laila's was red and Lynzi's was green. They both had on white tights and identical black shoes!!! I wished I had gotten a better picture backstage, but I was using Gene's camera and I am not real acquainted with it!

Here is Lynzi singing along while jingling her bells.
Here is just a cute picture of her in front of our tree. She posed by herself. It is her favorite pose.

On Wed morning I had my first prenatal appointment. Nothing real exciting. I do have an ultrasound schedules for next Wednesday to determine a more precise due date. Right now we are saying June 23rd...the day after Gene's bday. The NP said they will schedule the c-section 10 days before the due date....meaning June 13th...MY BDAY! However, my bday is on a Saturday this year...so it would be either the 12th or the 15th. Next Wednesday all that could change.
I still haven't done much Christmas shopping. I did go Wed afternoon to shop for two little girls that live in Hephzibah in GA and their mommies. It was fun. We got some great deals! I just hope I can get out and do some of my shopping before the 24th!

Just when you give up.....BAM!!!

It has been a busy week...like always. Friday night Lynzi sold candy bars at Kroger for Girl Scouts and on Saturday she had her school Fall Festival where she had lots of fun playing the different games and playing in the blow up bounce house. Here she is with her Kindergartne Teacher at the Fall Festival.

Here is the cake she won at the cake walk game. She wanted to decorate it for Mommy and Daddy's Anniversary. It was all her idea!

She did a good job. I helped with "Anniversary" but she did the rest.

Sunday on our way out the door to go to church it was SNOWING! None was sticking....but none the less...SNOW! Lynzi was quite excited....mom, not so much. The rest of the day we relaxed and read books and snuggled in bed and watched TV. Daddy was working so it was just us girls.

Yesterday was our wedding anniversary....8 years! We got a great gift! We found out we are pregnant! Well WE aren't...I am. But you know what I mean! It is crazy, really! We were trying for a while...and gave up! Then BAM! Not expected, but the news is very welcome! We had a lot of fun telling our family. Here is a video of us telling Lynzi!

Ok, so until I get the video to upload, here is a picture of Lynzi with her new T-shirt!

What a week!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while all (mom)! What a crazy week!

Saturday the 3 of us went on a Girl Scout outting to Daughtery's Orchard. We had never been there. It was very nice. They have a nice petting zoo there and an orchard where you can go pick your own apples. Neat experience for this city girl! After we finished there we went to a nice candle place down the road. We have always driven by it but never stopped. They had lots of wonderful scents and some unusal gift ideas. The building inside was beautiful! Gene must have been inspired because when we got home he made some candles! Here is Lynzi with her friend Trista. They are the only two Kindergarteners in the troop. They also have the same backpack. For WEEKS that is what I would hear Trista say everyday!

Here Lynzi is feeding a deer an ice cream cone.
Here is the girls who went. This is only like a 3rd of the whole troop!

The beautiful Candle shop.

Lynzi posting by the giant candle. You can go in the candle part of the shop and look up at the "flame".

Sunday was church and we had a wonderful concert. Then that evening we had Awana as usual and Lynzi got to take a friend from ballet. It is funny how kids act. She would not sit by Lynzi and told me, "She is following me and it is annoying." Hello! She is your friend! She wants to sit by you! I am sure Lynzi will go through that stage too!

Monday Lynzi had Girl Scouts and got a couple new badges. (Thank God they are iron on!) Tomorrow she will be sitting at Kroger selling candy bars with another Girl Scout and their leader. They are selling candy bars to raise money to buy a a child's Christmas this year.

Tuesday Lynzi had ballet and it was a watch day! That means parents get to watch. You can tell they have really improved since last year! They are dancing to "YMCA" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club". For the Christmas program they are dancing to "Christmas in the Ocean" ( I think) that Ariel sings. Lynzi needs a Christmasy Ariel sweatshirt! Be on the lookout and let me know where I can find one! If I dont' find one, she will just wear a Christmasy sweatshirt with tropical flowers in her hair and around her neck. After ballet we met Julie at the church to take Angel Food Orders. Have a mentioned what a great ministry this is? Ok, just checking.
Here is a video of Lynzi's ballet class practicing YMCA. She is on the left with the black leotard. The parents have to sit in the back...makes for not so great pictures and videos!

Wednesday Gene and I went to work out at the Y and finished painting the Living Room! YAY! We took a break to have lunch with Lynzi. Lynzi asked me to have lunch with her on Monday and I was heartbroken that I had to say no because of work. So Tuesday night I said, "Do you want Mommy to have lunch with you tomorrow?" "SHRRREEEEEEEK" That is Lynzi's way of saying "YES!" Then Wednesday morning I asked her if she wanted Daddy to come too since he was off work. "SHRRRRREEEEEK!" So, we both went! We also got to go to recess with her. The kids loved that because we would help them across the monkey bars and the fireman pole. The kids were lining up! Then we encouraged Lynzi to go play on the blacktop...like, hopscotch or something so we could leave the monkey bar area! HA! There were a group of kids playing duck, duck, goose so Lynzi joined them. There was one little boy who would pick her every time! I think he likes her! Then at one point there were too people who were "it" and the other one "goosed" Lynzi and she was running. The other "it" person was waiting on her to get back so he could "goose" her! HA! (Doesn't sound nice, does it?) Yesterday when she got home she said that this little boy took TWO of her school pictures that Gene did. The kids got their school pics back so Lynzi took some wallets that Daddy did of her. The boy took two after she said he could only have one! I think he is obsessed with her! HA!

Thursday Gene substitute taught and when we all got home we went to the YMCA for our 2nd appt with a trainer. We did a lot of weight lifting and I am a little sore. But more importantly Lynzi got to swim! When we picked her up from child watch she said, "I want to go watch them swim." Gene said, "You want to watch them or do YOU want to go swim?" "SSCRRREEEECH!" Again, that mean YES! She had a fun time with Daddy in the pool. They put a floating device strapped around and at one point she was "swimming" by herself. She was so excited! While they swam I went and did a cardio workout. Water is not my thing!

Friday...today....whew. TGIF, huh? Right now I am working...well, not real hard, but I am here. I got all my work done yesterday, and I am just basically here to answer the phones. I will be picking up Lynzi and then heading to Kroger to sell candy bars. At 7pm we may go to Wendy's. She won a free meal there for getting all A's on her report card. Tomorrow...we will be sleeping in and then going to the school's fall festival at 5pm. That should be fun!

Have a great weekend!

Cute Colts Cheerleader

Last night we went to a friend's church fall festival. They had a trunk-or-treat and then crafts and snacks inside. Lynzi dressed up as a Colt's Cheerleader.

Here she is with her friend Sydney.

My friend Karen dressed up as Gizelle from Enchanted. Her car won the trunk decorating contest.
