There is more than CORN in Indiana...but how how good the corn is!!! Mmmmm!

On Friday we all went to a birthday party at the new public pool here in town. A friend of Gene's from work had her son's bday party there. It was a nice night out...not too hot. In fact, Lynzi was shivering and her lips were turning blue, but she wasn't about to stop her from having some water fun!

Unfortunately my camera battery went dead and I didn't get pictures in the other other area of the water park. There is a place called "Launch Pad" where water squirts from the cement ground etc. It was fun!

Before we left for the party.

After our trip to Dairy Queen we went to Walmart so that Lynzi could do some shopping with her birthday money. She wanted a new baby. Here is what she got!Yes, Baby Alive. She drinks and potties! UGH!

And a pic of Lynzi and Gizmo!

Dairy Queen

After going to the fair we all went to Dairy Queen to get some dinner. It was too hot to eat the fair food.

Alexandria Fair

Monday night we met my mom and dad at the Alexandria Fair where they would be doing the entertaining at the Music Today booth. Mom and Dad played organ in the booth. Then Lynzi used some of her birthday money to ride some rides!

New Camera

Gene traded in a bunch of camera equipment he doesn't use anymore and got us both new cameras! YAY! He got a nice Professional Panasonic and I got a Nikon that is tiny to fit in my purse. Here are some pictures I took using some different modes.

Standard Color

Black and White

Sepia

Cyanotype

You can also crop the picture before downloading it. Here is a picture of Lynzi. I zoomed in on the picture and saved it as a separate picture. You can't see her straggly hair from taking a bath now! COOL!

Karmen wake up! They are done!

I sent these pictures to Karmen but she refused to put them on her blog. So here they are! HA!

Here is Karmen donated blood. We just knew she would pass out!

Karmen! WAKE UP!

Just kidding she didn't pass out...her eyes were just closed in the picture! HA! GOOD JOB KARMEN!

On the way to Marion

Lynzi zonked out on the way to Marion last Friday! Over...over....and down! Sounds like she sure does get a workout!

Piano Lessons

Lynzi is loving learning the piano. Grandma and Grandpa bought her two piano books. She is learning so fast. I read to her the page about bar lines, double bar lines and measures and later asked her what each thing was and she told me! I thought we would have to review first....nope! Then we did a little on quarter note and half note. She clapped the rhythm perfectly! Then we put the fingers with the notes and the rhythm...and perfect!

Here is a video I took of her before that we got to that page. She is doing finger exercises on Grandma and Grandpa's organ.

Happy 5th Birthday Lynzi!

Today Lynzi turned 5. I woke her up before I left for work to tell her I had some grapes and strawberries in the refrigerator along with a cup of orange juice. When she was ready to get up she could get it out of the fridge all by her self! She was so excited. The best part was when I told her she was 5! She was laying in bed and did a little cheerleader-like "yay" with her hand up above her head!

Tonight we were heading to White Castle...her birthday dinner choice...when she jumped off a step on the side walk. She said, "Did you see how high I can jump now that I am 5?"It was cute.

Then we went grocery shopping. When we got home Gene did a little photo shoot with her with her Colts cheerleading outfit (that she got for Christmas) on and her new Cinderella Dress (she got for her birthday) both of which Grandma and Grandpa got her!

Then off to bed. Not a very exciting day, but nice enough! She was a very good girl!

Here are some cute pics from the day!
